Pickled Radishes Update

It's been a week, and the pickled radishes are done.

This is what they looked like last week.

I took this picture after I had some with lunch.  That explains the extra room at the top.  I didn't know what to expect since I've never had radishes made this way before.  They turned out really good.  They had a sauerkraut like flavor.  I really didn't notice much bitterness that radishes usually have.  I didn't taste any of them before I put them in the jar, so I don't know how bitter they were to start with. 

Anyway, it turned out to be a good experiment.  It's certainly something that I'll do again.
